More than 4,600 people were injured and 31 people were killed as a result of these collisions.<\/p>\n<p>At Aitken Aitken &amp; Cohen, we wanted to find out which Huntington Beach crossings put motorists at higher risk of collision and injury.<\/p>\n<p>As part of our broader study of intersection-related collisions in Orange County, we found that <strong>three of the most dangerous intersections in Orange County are located in Huntington Beach.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aitkenlaw.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Huntington-Beach.jpg\" alt=\"The Most Dangerous Intersections in Huntington Beach\" width= \"100%\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aitkenlaw.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Huntington-Beach.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.aitkenlaw.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Huntington-Beach-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.aitkenlaw.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Huntington-Beach-768x461.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We analyzed nine years of collision data and calculated a Crash Risk Index (CRI) for each crossing based on collision volume and injury severity.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to providing a list for all of Orange County, we identified Huntington Beach&#8217;s most dangerous intersections. dangerous in all of Orange County) is Ellis &amp; Newland.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This intersection was associated with more injuries from motor vehicle collisions than any other crossing in Huntington Beach &#8211; only two other intersections in the county had more.<\/p>\n<p>As previously mentioned, three of the top ten intersections in the County were found in Huntington Beach &#8211; Ellis &amp; Newland, Gothard &amp; Heil, and Magnolia &amp; Yorktown.\u00a0 In fact, Huntington Beach had 13 of the top 50 intersections overall, second only to Fullerton&#8217;s 18.<\/p>\n<p>This is despite the city having several thousand fewer crashes (4,053) and injuries (4,613) than Anaheim (6,457 crashes and 7,908 injuries) or Santa Ana (6,086 crashes and 7,161 injuries).<\/p>\n<p>The most dangerous
