Suddenly the vessel struck a 1983 43\u2019 Hen\/Ketch vessel at anchor located within Moonstone Cove. The force of impact caused Rel to sustain serious injuries as a result of the collision. Both Brad and Rel were intoxicated at the time of collision. Following the collision, both were found unconscious and they were airlifted to the mainland for medical treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESULTS:<\/strong> $500,000 &#8211; Policy Limits<\/p>\n<p><strong>DATE OF SETTLEMENT:<\/strong> January 9, 2012<\/p>\n<p><strong>INJURIES:<\/strong> Rel suffered multiple fractures of the nasal bone, anterior nasal septum, right sided ribs and scapula; splenic laceration and removal; right front epidural hematoma and cranioplasty; traumatic brain injury and blindness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPE OF CASE:<\/strong> Maritime<\/p>\n<p><strong>DATE &amp; LOCATION OF INCIDENT:<\/strong>  July 18, 2009 Avalon Bay, Catalina Island, CA<\/p>\n<p><strong>PLAINTIFF\u2019S AGE:<\/strong> Rel \u2013 50 at time of incident<\/p>\n<p><strong>OCCUPATION:<\/strong> Rel was a plumber<\/p>\n<p><strong>PLAINTIFF\u2019S ATTORNEYS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Darren O.
