{"id":5341,"date":"2010-06-08T14:46:40","date_gmt":"2010-06-08T21:46:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.aitkenlaw.com\/news\/?p=435"},"modified":"2010-06-08T14:46:40","modified_gmt":"2010-06-08T21:46:40","slug":"odette","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aitkenlaw.com\/newsite\/2010\/06\/08\/odette\/","title":{"rendered":"$300,000: Motorcycle collides with car; plaintiff suffers fractured vertebrae"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>CASE DESCRIPTION:<\/strong> On January 13, 2006 plaintiff Jerome O, 58 a correctional program supervisor with the Orange County Sheriff Department, was struck by defendant Pedro T while riding his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Alicia Parkway, near Via Lomas.&nbsp; Suddenly, and without warning, defendant Pedro T, who was traveling eastbound on Alicia Parkway, turned left turn in front of plaintiff, colliding with the right side of the motorcycle.&nbsp; The impact was substantial, causing plaintiff to be thrown approximately 90 feet from the point of impact.&nbsp; Plaintiff\u2019s wife, Teresa O, also brought a case against Pedro T for loss of consortium.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. O&nbsp; was transported from the scene of the accident to Mission Hospital, where he was hospitalized from January 13, 2006 to February 3, 2006.&nbsp; As indicated by the medical records enclosed, Mr. O suffered a variety of injuries and various fractures.&nbsp; As a result of his injuries, Mr. O incurred medical expenses in excess of $127,326.00.&nbsp; This matter was resolved prior to filing a complaint.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESULT: $300,000 (Policy Limits) <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPE OF CASE: <\/strong> Personal Injury; Automobile v.
