CASE DESCRIPTION: An auto accident occurred at the intersection of Redhill Avenue and Skypark North. The accident stemmed from the Defendant running a red light. The victim was killed as a result of the accident.
RESULT: $250,000.00 exclusive of the worker’s compensation lien.
Plaintiff’s Decedent, Terry A., was traveling northbound on Redhill Avenue, Defendant Oscar S. (who was delivering a package to an air courier company) was traveling eastbound on Skypark North, when he entered the intersection against a red light at a high rate of speed and struck Decedent Terry A., causing fatal injuries.
Plaintiff contended, based on eyewitness testimony, that Defendant Oscar S. intentionally and deliberately entered the intersection against the red light, accelerating and passing vehicles ahead of him in order to do so.
Defendant contended that Plaintiff entered the intersection on a red light.
