CASE DESCRIPTION: On March 22, 2012, at around 3:30 p.m. defendant, Sara M. was traveling northwest along Via Del Rio intending to make a left hand turn onto Avenida Del Vista. At this time, plaintiff, Ilse M., was traveling southeast along Via Del Rio with a green traffic signal for through traffic. Defendant failed to yield to Plaintiff’s approaching vehicle and continued with her left hand turn. Defendant slammed into the driver’s side door of plaintiff’s vehicle and thereby caused it to rollover. Plaintiff’s vehicle was declared a total loss as a result of the collision.
