Aitken Redesign

This week Aitken Aitken Cohn attorneys, Wylie Aitken and Michael Penn in association with Gary Bennett filed a  wrongful termination and retaliation lawsuit on behalf of their client, Jess Carbajal, against the County of Orange.  Mr. Carbajal’s wrongful termination stemmed from the botched investigation directed by high level County superiors into alleged sex crimes committed by then County Executive and Santa Ana City Council Member Carlos Bustamante. Carbajal maintains that county superiors attempted to make him a fall guy in July 2012 to dampen fallout over their failure to act. Bustamante was a rising political star at the time of the incident. Wylie Aitken stated: ” We stand by the factual allegations contained in our Complaint. Jess Carbajal was the only one who acted affirmatively in this case.  His superiors either did nothing, tried to cover-up the smoke or ran and hid when the barn caught fire.”
