OCTLA and CAOIE Jointly Present the 2014 Palm Springs Seminar!

The Consumer Attorneys of the Inland Empire (CAOIE) and the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA) are pleased to announce a new partnership!   Recognizing that two Associations are better than one, CAOIE and OCTLA will be jointly presenting the 2014 Palm Springs Seminar April 4 -6, 2014 at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage.  By melding the strength, talent and resources of our sister organizations, Palm Springs 2014 is sure to be an unparalleled weekend of networking, education, camaraderie and fun.

As the more seasoned trial masters know, in its first iteration the Palm Springs Seminar was the travel seminar to attend – predating both Las Vegas and San Francisco.  After a brief hiatus, CAOIE and CAOC have devoted substantial time and energies re-starting what has again developed into one of the preeminent legal seminars in California.  OCTLA could not be more excited to be joining in and helping to continue to grow this “must attend” weekend in the desert.

The Friday afternoon programs will examine highly relevant issues and provide practical “how to” tips on topics ranging from negotiating liens and presenting medical specials in the age of Howell to working with experts and giving effective opening statements and closing arguments.    Saturday’s panels will present on two concurrent tracks, with wide-ranging topics including workers compensation, medical malpractice, expedited jury trials, tips from the judges and effective trial techniques from the masters.

CAOC Past President and nationally acclaimed trial lawyer Wylie A. Aitken will deliver Saturday afternoon’s keynote address “Path to Justice:  Can We Find Our Way Back?” and following Saturday’s educational presentations, an early evening reception will provide CAOIE with the perfect setting to present its Trial Lawyer of the Year and Judge of the Year Awards.

Energized and engaging speakers from all over California are confirmed to present including Brian Panish, Tom Girardi, Bill Shernoff, Mike Bidart, Mark Robinson, Browne Greene, R. Rex Perris, John Gomez, John Feder and Robert Buccola.   And the unique value of the Palm Springs Seminar is that the learning, mentoring and friendship does not end when the presentations conclude.  Each year, trial masters settle into seating areas around the fire pits at the beautiful Rancho Las Palmas resort to share war stories and personal experiences well into the night providing unparalleled access to legal legends.

Mark your calendars now for April 4-6, 2014.  We look forward to celebrating our new partnership with you in the desert!
