With the legalization of same-sex marriages across America last month, 2015 is turning out to be a historic year for LGBT rights advancement. Recognizing the importance of this year and celebrating the LGBT community, Aitken Aitken Cohn extends an invitation to join the Orange County Lavender Bar Association (OCLBA) as it celebrates its Fifth Anniversary, next Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at The Sky Garden at The Michelson Building. The annual event will begin at 6:00 pm and includes hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and desserts!

This year, Stephen Reinhardt, Circuit Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, will be honored with the organization’s 2015 Community Leadership Award. Laura Kanter will receive the 2015 M. Katherine B. Darmer Outstanding Community Service Award. Both Judge Reinhardt and Laura Kanter have made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of LGBT equality.
