From Sea to Shining Sea: Aitken Aitken Cohn Travels to Speak at 2015 CAOC Conferences

Partner Casey Johnson Attends the 2015 CAOC ConventionAitken Aitken Cohn attorneys flew to San Francisco to offer their legal expertise to more than 200 of their fellow trial lawyers at the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC)‘s 2015 Annual Convention earlier this month.

This year’s conference was especially memorable because it marked the first-ever “Congress of California Trial Lawyers Associations” meeting which was held in conjunction with the CAOC Convention on Thursday, November 5. Aitken Aitken Cohn’s Partner Casey Johnson spoke at the inaugural event, sharing his insights into effective leadership alongside Bonnie Benitez of CASD and Jason Sanchez of CAOIE in their presentation titled, “Developing Your Board and Maximizing Their Involvement and Contributions.”

Partner Casey Johnson is Inducted as the 2016 Chair of CAOC’s Diversity CommitteePartner Darren Aitken opened up Friday afternoon presentations by moderating, “Trial Skills Track:  Dealing with Evidence at Trial.” Wylie Aitken followed up by speaking on the Masters Panel where he shared his story about being at the Ambassador Hotel the day Bobby Kennedy was shot. Then on Saturday night, Partner Casey Johnson was sworn in as the 2016 Chair of CAOC’s Diversity Committee at the Annual Installation and Awards Dinner. In his new position, Casey will be fostering acceptance and promoting inclusion of diversity amongst CAOC members and leaders. He will also now serve on the CAOC Executive Committee.

If you missed out on this conference, not to worry, you have another chance to hear one of our attorneys speak at the upcoming CAOC Hawaii Travel Seminar taking place on November 30 – December 3 at the beautiful Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel. Casey Johnson will be presenting “Dive Right In — Navigating The Waters Of Pool Injury Cases” on Tuesday, December 1. Be sure to keep a look out for our attorneys on the road and let us know your thoughts regarding their presentations.

Aitken Aitken Cohn is a proud supporter of the CAOC and looks forward to many more years serving local organizations!
