Mayra Sanchez

Paralegal

Mayra Sanchez is a paralegal and legal assistant to Partner Michael Penn at Aitken Aitken Cohn, where she provides comprehensive support across all of his cases, including drafting pleadings, managing client communications, calendaring, and coordinating depositions. Mayra has been in the legal industry for over 14 years, primarily working in civil contracts and post-judgment matters, and joined Aitken Aitken Cohn in July 2025.

“I was drawn to the firm because of its mission and reputation,” Mayra said. “Everyone here is incredibly nice, and the atmosphere is supportive. I never feel hesitant to ask questions or seek guidance—it really feels like a collaborative team.”

Mayra brings extensive knowledge and dedication to her role. She holds the Advanced Certified Paralegal (ACP) designation in Personal Injury from the National Association
of Legal Assistants (NALA). She is an active member of both NALA and the Orange County Paralegal Association.

Mayra earned her paralegal certification and AA degree from Santa Ana College and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, staying active, and exploring nature.
