Olyssa Valadez

Law Clerk

Olyssa Valadez is a Law Clerk at Aitken Aitken Cohn, where she assists with deposition preparation, case management, discovery review, and tracking incoming evidence and deadlines. She supports attorneys in coordinating cases and witnesses, gaining hands- on experience in various aspects of personal injury and civil litigation. A Riverside native, Olyssa graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2025 with a degree in Political Science, emphasizing Law and Society, and a minor in Public Policy. During college, she participated in Mock Trial and, as part of her honors program, conducted a case study on homelessness in Riverside. She is currently applying to law school to pursue her legal career. “I knew learning more about personal injury law here would help me gain a broader understanding of the legal field,” Olyssa says. “Working at Aitken Aitken Cohn has allowed me to see how different cases are handled and learn from experienced attorneys every day.” Olyssa is committed to her local community and is actively involved with the Pick Group of Young Professionals. She currently works as an Administrative Assistant at the Riverside Raincross Group, gaining additional insight into city systems and community initiatives. “I really value the close-knit environment of our Riverside office,” she shares. “Being able to collaborate so closely with my colleagues makes it easy to learn, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully to each case.” Outside of work, Olyssa enjoys playing tennis and reading.
