Atticus Wegman

Never too shy to be extraordinary and never too confident to forget his roots, Atticus Wegman was born and raised in New Hampton, Iowa. Atticus obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating magna cum laude from Fresno State University and his Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa.

Atticus attended Chapman University School of Law where he was awarded a scholarship from the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) for demonstrating a strong interest in trial work. Atticus has also had the privilege of working for local state and federal judges including the Honorable Judge Franz Miller and the Honorable Judge Theodor Albert before joining Aitken Aitken Cohn.

Atticus is a member of several legal organizations including the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA) where he serves as an elected member of the Board of Directors. When Atticus isn't busy aggressively fighting for his clients or trying to live up to the great Atticus Finch, he spends his time scoring bogeys on the golf course and spending time with his wife and newborn baby Scout.

Cases

Since joining Aitken Aitken Cohn, Atticus has been involved in a variety of high-profile cases with six and seven figure results. Recently, Atticus was able to help resolve a case involving a minor child who fell off of a table at a pizza parlor suffering a partial amputation of his left thumb resulting in a $1,300,000.00 settlement. Atticus' recent jury verdict awarded his client 10 times more than the amount the defendant offered resulting in a rare excess judgment for his client.
