$790,549 Settlement for Woman Hit by High Speed Car

CASE DESCRIPTION: Janet was riding as a back seat passenger in a Toyota Corolla being driven by her friend. As the drive proceeded through a parking lot in La Habra, CA, Christopher J. failed to obey a stop sign and collided with the left side of Janet’s vehicle at a high rate of speed. Unfortunetly, the area of impact was closet to Janet’s seating position. The sudden force of this impact was so severe that the vehicle Janet was a passenger in had to be towed from the scene. Janet was rushed to the hospital from the scene.

DATE OF SETTLEMENT: February 24, 2012
INJURIES: Janet was taken to UCI Medical Center for treatment. Janet was initially diagnosed with left hip fractures, 12” splenic laceration, fractures of the left 3rd and 4th ribs, cerebral contusion, and loss of consciousness. CT scan and x-rays confirmed above mentioned injuries. Further evaluation revealed that Janet also suffered from traumatic bilateral subarachnoid hemorrhages.
