$250,000: Careless Left Turn Leads to Collision With Tree, Facial Fractures

CASE DESCRIPTION: Plaintiff, Jessica D., was driving her 2004 Infiniti G35 eastbound on Alton Parkway, toward Armstrong Avenue in the City of Irvine. As Plaintiff approached the intersection of Alton Parkway and Armstrong Avenue, Defendant, Charles H., attempted to make a left hand turn from westbound Alton Parkway onto Armstrong Avenue without first checking for oncoming, eastbound traffic on Alton Parkway. Jessica swerved and applied her brakes in an attempt to avoid the collision, but was unable to do so. The impact caused Jessica’s vehicle to run up the curb and slam into a nearby tree, and the airbags to deploy. Jessica was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision.

RESULTS: $250,000.00 (Policy Limits)
