Faces of Riverside profiled AAC Partner Megan Demshki, highlighting her recent accolades as an exceptional trial lawyer in Riverside County

Faces of Riverside recently profiled AAC partner Megan G. Demshki for her string of accolades and relentless dedication to the civil justice system. Her impressive results have earned Megan a place among the legal elite of Southern California.

Securing three prestigious legal awards in 2023 is at the forefront of her accomplishments. The Riverside County Barristers named Megan Attorney of the Year, and her inclusion in the Los Angeles Daily Journal’s list of 2023’s Top Women Lawyers and Top 40 Under 40 Lawyers in California further solidifies her standing as a trailblazer in the field.

One of the most significant cases in which Megan played a crucial role was the litigation surrounding the Orange County Coast oil spill, where she worked alongside AAC founding partner Wylie Aitken and partner Darren Aitken to secure a nearly $100 million settlement for affected homeowners and businesses.

In her hometown of Riverside, Megan has left an indelible mark through her dedication to seeking justice for those wronged by negligence. Partnering with her colleague Chris Aitken at AAC, she secured a $38.5 million settlement for injured construction workers after a bridge collapse on the 91 freeway in Corona. Another notable achievement was the $12 million settlement she obtained along with AAC’s Rich Cohn for a woman who suffered severe brain damage due to medical negligence during intubation.

In another case with AAC partner Chris Aitken, Megan secured an $11 million settlement against a statewide political party on behalf of a paralyzed Riverside man involved in a freeway collision. Her commitment to impacting lives earned her the 2022 CAOIE Streetfighter of the Year Award, and she and Aitken were named CAOC 2021 Finalists for Consumer Attorney of the Year.

Megan’s commitment to advocacy extends beyond the courtroom. As the manager of AAC’s Riverside office, she has actively engaged in various community organizations and bar associations, tirelessly working to make a difference. Her leadership roles in the Riverside County Bar Association, Riverside County Bar Foundation, and Magnolia Center Business Council reflect her desire to effect positive change both within the legal profession and the broader community, a testament to her unwavering dedication and belief in the power of advocacy.

As she continues to make strides in her career, Megan inspires aspiring lawyers and is a beacon of hope for those seeking recourse in the face of adversity.
