Wylie Aitken Introduces Senator Darrell Steinberg at Recent Luncheon

Wylie Aitken was selected to introduce a longtime friend, The Honorable Darrell Steinberg, President pro Tempore, California State Senate this past April 26th, at the Hilton Irvine during an Orange County Forum luncheon. Elected by the Members of the Senate, the Pro Tem is the presiding officer on the floor, overseeing the appointment of committee members, assignments of bills, progress of legislation through the house, confirmation of gubernatorial appointees, and overall direction of policy. Senator Darrell Steinberg is arguably the second most powerful elected official in California, second only to Governor Jerry Brown.

The Orange County Register is the founding sponsor of the Orange County Forum which is a non-profit, non-partisan organization of business and civic leaders which offers programs designed to educate and enhance the public’s understanding of current events and issues that impact Orange County, the State of California, and the nation.
