Wylie & Bette Aitken Championing Education: Featured in Modern Luxury Magazine!

2015 December Wylie and Bette Philathropy Chapman Spread

One of Orange County’s premier magazines, Modern Luxury recently featured Wylie and Bette Aitken for their long history of philanthropy in the community, specifically their support of Chapman University, non-profit organizations, and the Arts!

Presented in a question and answer format, the two page spread covers Wylie and Bette’s answers to an insightful variety of questions such as “What makes Chapman University special?” and “How has your passion for the arts affected your philanthropic endeavors?”

Wylie explains that when he and Bette first started getting involved with Chapman by way of introduction from a fellow lawyer, they were eager to be given an opportunity to help a new generation of lawyers. “We were excited about what a great school it was, how the students respond and how much they love the environment, and the generous scholarship program.” They have since then donated a much needed trial courtroom as well as set-up a family protection clinic through Chapman Law to address issues of domestic violence.

When it comes to their passion behind their philanthropy, Bette explains, “We have three loves. One is for the law; it’s been very good for us as a family. Second, we have the love of arts. And third, we have a great passion and love for education.”

As an added bonus, Wylie and Bette were also featured on the later pages of this edition where they were shown hand-in-hand at the Mission San Juan Capistrano “Romance of the Mission Benefit Gala” event; an event which was held in their honor.
