Aitken Aitken Cohn Recognizes National Brain Injury Awareness Month

brain 2The average cost of caring for a survivor of traumatic brain injury often exceeds $1.5 million in a lifetime.*

March is “National Brain Injury Awareness Month” and Aitken Aitken Cohn would like to honor the individuals and families who have been affected by severe brain injuries.

For over 20 years, Aitken Aitken Cohn has fought to support victims of brain injury, triumphing in cases like Cade F. vs. E.A. Pederson Company, where a 13 year-old boy suffered a severe traumatic brain injury in an auto collision. AAC secured a $23.5 million award for this deserving boy and his family.

Aitken Aitken Cohn was also chosen to represent Ryan Corbin, grandson of Pat Boone, in his suit against his Santa Monica Apartment complex after suffering a fall which left him paralyzed with a traumatic brain injury. As a result of our lawyers’ legal expertise, Corbin and his family were awarded a settlement exceeding $10 million. Those funds were instrumental in launching Ryan’s Reach, a nonprofit organization providing vital support for brain injured individuals and their families, to which AAC continues to support.
